| | | Dude with an Indian accent tried to tell me my computer was sending out messages. I let him walk me through a few steps for the fun of it because it was so obviously a scam. Eventually I just told him I was just messing with him to waste his time. He hung up. |
| | | I am continually getting calls from 'Unknown" numbers or from this 987 area code regarding a virus on my computer. The call center person states my address and says I have virus they would like to help me get rid of. They claim to be with Microsoft. They get very angry and scream and yell threats before hanging up if I do not go along with scam.

| | | Window technical support scammer. They will tell you a lie abut yoru computer sending them signals to warn you about a virus, hoping you are naive about using a computer. They will try to offer to fix this problem through remote controlling access which you need to help them get by changing setting to allow them in. They are stupid and will get quite angry if you pretend to do what they say and then at the end tell them you must not have done it right. |

| | | A man named "mark" called saying the same thing as all of the above posts, claiming to help my poor naive father fix his hacked computer. .I went with it for a few, and he started being very rude and bossy, I told him I knew what he was up to, and he hung up immediately..I feel so bad for the people who fall for this.My father gets the calls from the fake IRS scammers frequently and thought he was going to jail once. So sad.. |
| | | Info shows that this is a spoofed number. Officially it is in Cozumel, Mexico. Caller claims to be able to remotely "Fix" errors on your computer, IF you give them access! |
