| | Called again, after I told him to stop calling last week. I quickly told him I was declining the call and hung-up, but he called immediately back. They gave me a completely different "case number" than what they gave me before regarding changes to our "merchant account", which we do not even have. He asked me to take a message for the owner, and I told him he would be wasting his time because I wasn't going to write it down, but he gave it to me anyway. Right, like giving me that bogus info makes you seem legit. If you are going to try to sell something, at least get together with your sales team so that you can all use the same phony info! I guess this is what you do if you flunk out of clown school... |
| | Called for my boss twice and claimed they could not leave him a voice mail. We don't have any merchant account. I would ignore the call but I am the receptionist , which means I have to answer the call. Very annoying. |

They claim to be a provider of our current merchant account service, yet we have never heard of them since they do not provide the actual name of their company or can confirm any of our information. They claim to be getting our account details from a national database, yet they are calling from a local number. Very suspicious. I don't think it's a scam, but it is a very annoying sales tactic. It looks like others have indicated that this is indeed a sales call. Don't be fooled. |
