| | The best protection is to 'play their game'. If they ask you questions, give them, what they want to hear. Modify the story as you want it to be, and you will see, who will hung up first. You need to be prepared to improvise. Say, that you had an accident about a half year ago. They bumped into your car from left/right. You haven't claimed a compensation, as you didn't know, this was possible. If they ask about the plate number of the car of those, who bumped into you, tell them, that you have it stored somewhere. This is one of the ways, you can deal with cold calls and win. |
| | Just received a call from a alleged company called P*** asking if I could confirm having a car accident. When I queried where the caller had obtained my number from, he claimed it was from a company called "Road Traffic Accident Department" which every organisation in the UK could contact. When I questioned him further, he just hung up! |
