call from a private number but when left voicemail it shows an actual citibank number 1-888-248-4226 however on voicemail they ask you to call back a different number 1-866-278-9378 this is a total SCAM BEWARE cause well i've never had an account with citibank claims to be with citibank fraud dept and a charge of over $400 was put through moneygram
1-888-248-8142 called my elderly father and said they were with the social security administration and asked for his SSN and he gave it to them. seriously worried now. made reports to FTC and SSI and calling bank now.
They used this phone number, which is supposedly connected to Citibank... they left a message and claimed they were Sears consumer protection department. Asked for a diff member of my family and then stated they’d need account info, etc or that they’d place the acct on hold for fraud charges. Then they left me a different phone number to call back on... definitely a scam
