| | | Person who spoke heavily accented english claimed to be calling frm the "US Government Grants Department." saying I had been selected to win a large sum of money that i would never have to pay back and that they would transfer it directly into my bank account after they determined that I was eligible. Only qualification was US citizenship and a HSD or GED. It took me 5 minuted to figure out what she was saying, and every time I'd say I didn't understand, she'd go back to the beginning of her spiel. I wanted to play along, but it was impossible to pretend that I believed her, and after I said that it was hard to believed that she was calling from the US Government when she couldn't even speak basic english, she hung up on me. |
