| | Got a call on my 14 year old's cell phone claiming the IRS was going to file a lawsuit against ME. |
| | Received a phone call approximately 8:30 AM on Tuesday, 24th May 2016-- Caller with Middle Eastern accent claiming to be a third-party IRS representative said I owed back taxes after they had done an audit From 2008 -2014 and I owed approximately $2200 ( that was scam alert #1. The irs would not do an audit without you knowing about it !) I cooperated and patiently waited for his approach on payment to decide whether or not he was a scammer the phone died so I called back. First of all the only information he had was name phone number basically information I had given him. He said his name was Michael mead & gave me a phony badge ID number. I'm not easily scammed so I find this amusing he said that I would be arrested and thrown in jail and my assets would be seized within that day. He Said the conversation was being recorded by the highest of authorities .
I said so you do not work for the IRS correct but you are trying to collect money, the phone diconnected again so I called back and said where are you calling from? he said Washington DC, I said no you're not, I said what country are you calling from. He got upset right away said F you mother f-er and hung up.
By all means take these people seriously it's supposedly an Isis organization. don't give them any information your best bet is to hang up immediately block the # & file a complaint with tigta online. Or possibly over the phone. the IRS does not call you demanding payments over the phone. |
| | These idiots called and woke me at 6:30, then hung up so I called them back to ask why, and they started their story about IRS sueing me. Because I have had this same call several times from other numbers,I told them so and hung up. They actually called back two hours later, I didn't answer, and they left robotic message to call back, seriously?????? |
| | Received 7calls from this number on May 24th stating that I'm being sued from the IRS. |
| | Says to call about a case file and leaves a number. Very suspicious. Didn't name the IRS or any company which i why i looked it up. Lady robot. |
| | The robotic voices claims that I am being sued by the IRS. Has celled multiple times throughout the day. Also, called from 206-494-0741 |
| | 5 phone calls in one day from 509-233-4062 saying they were the IRS filing suit, something needs to be done about this |
| | Caller left msg I am being sued by IRS. Called back, would not give me name of who they were trying to reach. |
| | Got two calls and threatened with Jail amd fines if not paid immediately |
| | Called today claiming to be the irs. |
| | FYI: The IRS does not call people. If they believe that you owe them anything, you will receive a letter, which will include very specific identifying information, the precise amount they believe you owe, and detailed instructions on how to respond or dispute the assessment. |
| | Has called me twice today. .. |
| | This robotic call called 4 times. Never says who is being sued by irs. Said You are being sued. |
| | Claims to be IRS informing me of lawsuit. The voice was a re-recorded computerized recording. No identifying of who they were calling or what lawsuit was about. Definitely not the way the IRS functions. |
