| | | This is a scam phone call. I called microsoft support and spoke with a representative. He said that microsoft will NEVER call you about a problem they are experiencing with your computer. If this person calls you do not do anything that he requests and report him to the authorities. I would post a link that they sent me but we know you are smart enough to find one on your own if you have made it far enough to find this webpage :) |

| | | Block this 'Microsoft' caller from 315-825-8947. The number is probably spoofed anyway (not really the number from which he calls). This is absolutely a scam. Don't give him any information and for goodness sakes, do NOT turn on your computer or type in any website/code he tells you to type! This will give access to your entire computer and your private info can be seriously compromised (including bank log on details, etc.). I demanded that he stop calling and his reply was, 'I am going to keep calling and calling and calling you.' Seriously! I hung up and put the phone number in my call blocking app. He has called four more times today (but call block app stopped the call before it even rang). |

I told him I needed his phone number to confirm who he was. He gave another number besides the one that showed up on caller ID. He called back again an hour later. Could be criminal activity. |

I asked about which IP address has this problem, and he responded with some random digits around 192 168, but too long for an ipv4 address and not an ipv6 address. |

The phone companies know how to stop this nonsense but they won't because they are making money off of it at our expense.
