I hjad the same experience...same message. I called They said they were Microsoft and this problem had to be fixed by a Microsoft technician. They said my local technician could not fix it...only them. They did get on my computer remotely...now I am nervous what they either put on my computer or info taken from it. I finally disconnected from them...restarted my computer and it did restart but I am worried.
this number turned off my computer screen and left a message to call 888-663-0896 because my ip address (71.81.50.51) has been blocked and if I closed my screen the computer would crash. There was 2 pages of junk they posted. Well long and short THIS IS NOT MY IP ADDRESS - I know my IP and this is FAR from it... it is some virus or scammer who wants you to get scared and call them and they will take over your computer remotely BEWARE - THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME 2 TIMES WITHIN A WEEK.
