Called and left sane into about tax. I tried to call back but number busy. My stuff is accurate so obviously scam

Got message. Apparently saying they audited tax return and it's extremely time sensitive and urgent and after audit found that there was fraud and misconduct on my tax file which you are hiding from the federal government this needs to be rectified immediately. ITS A SCAM. SOMEONE NEEDS TO REPORT THIS TO THE IRS.

This is crazy how can people get away with this I just got a call they said they were from the IRS and that there was arrest warrant for me and I was going to jail I didn't pay Thousand $900 for back taxes !! Not gonna lie I was a little freaked out at first but then I realize that it's scam how do these people get your phone number !!

Irs scam broken up voice mail message didn't say who it was called or calling for, called the number back said it's the criminal investigative depth of irs said I heard of this scam don't call this number again and remove my number from your list. Blocked all theset bogus numbers 3 so far with my carrier.

IRS..or so they said...but I played along as I knew it was a scam. Officer Sam Cruz ( you know that's not his name) said I had been issued an arrest warrant for back taxes owed and the number was ******** (you get the picture) and the case ID# was ******* again, more senseless info. AND he even gave me his badge number! LOL!! Right before he hung up on me I told him to send the cops over..and he said he would! Still waiting..no knock at my door.
But be careful out there folks!!

He said it was IRS...I asked for their address n he quickly gave me an address in WASHINGTON DC!?? His voice was off...advised hIm he had a wrong number and said goodbye SCAMMER !!! didn't /hasn't called anymore ....will be calling AGO in morning
