They called me and told me I have a fraud case with the IRS and owe them money.
They claimed that they were the "IRS claims department" and that i owed them money. Of course they told me all of that before ever asking me my name. I told them that they could find my name at my local police department under the report for this number (1-805-559-0834) being a fraud hotline trying to scam people by claiming that they were the IRS. The woman that sounded like she was from India tried to argue with me to save face but I called her a criminal and told her that she was going to be reported and go to jail for fraud. The number says it is out of California when you look it up but when you call it back no one that answers speaks English until they realize you are an American calling back potentially falling for their scam.
