I agree that if you plan to stay with a cheater don't try to find any information. However, in my case I needed it in my state in order to file for a divorce and come out of the relationship. You can't just say I think courts want proof or you end up spending a lot of time and money to fight it out! Finding out was hard, but I was relieved that I wasn't crazy and it's making my divorce go a lot smoother. Yep- Call for factory recall on car. I called it back on cell phone and only a music recording. Then tried to call on landline and number would not go thru. GOod thing I do nothing on my cell phone regarding business. Just another HACK.

Yup, same experience as many others - I JUST received a voicemail that said that I should call this number for a possible recall for my registered vehicle: 800-705-5388. The funny thing is that my husband and I don't even own a vehicle (is our friend's). How did they get my #? I would imagine it must have been sold off to FB, Yahoo, or Gmail's affiliate businesses or any of the businesses that promised that they won't sell off my name and info to others. PHOOEY!!! :(

Received the same message as everyone else. What I find strange is my cell never rang and then I get a notification that I have a voicemail, so I listen to the message and it does not make any sense. I looked back at my call log and there is no number ever calling me. Anyway, I was going to bring this message to the attention of my dealership because I do have a scheduled maintenance appointment, but now after doing my own research and seeing all this, it's obvious it's a scam and I will block the number if they call again and the number shows up.

I got the same voice mail described above. Vague message about a recall of a vehicle that is registered. Blocking that number.

Call from 800-926-2458 left a message to call back at 800-705-5388 for a safety recall on my car. I felt this was a little fishy, so I looked here first. So tired of these scams and they keep finding new ways to reach us.

Received a voicemail from 1-800-926-2458 about a recall on my vehicle yet the number to call back was 800-705-5388. I called and spoke to a guy named Phillip - he said he was with the Recall Notification Center and asked for the phone number which the call was made to. I gave all but the last 2 number and questioned all the "background" noise and he said it was other people talking yet obviously it was music playing. I was very reluctant about providing my cell number and finally did. Phillip there was a Honda Accord or something of the sort and I told him I have NEVER had a car even close to it. He said he would make a note?

Same as reported by others, voicemail left about a safety recall, so I called the number left in the message and then was told there were no safety recalls, but they want to give me information about extending coverage on my car. I clarified with the lady that called there are no safety recalls on my car but you called saying there were just so I would call so you could try to get me to buy extended coverage on my vehicle, that is a really horrible thing to do to people and you should be shut down for your scare tactics, and she replied with ok well thanks for calling and hung up on me.

Same as all the others. Received a voice mail message while I was holding my phone, never received a call. I thought I would call them back & check it out & guess what, I have no safety recall at this time but........wait for it........they showed I never bought a factory extended warranty.......and there you have it, it's a sales scam

Same thing. My phone# is VERY new. There is no way someone would even know if I had a vehicle. BEWARE.

Just to let every one know if you give someone your vin# they can go to the DMV and have the VIN ran which gives them your name and address as listed on your title. Always protect your information.
