Received a bogus automated call from this number saying they were the IRS and I was receiving a final warning from them

Received a call from this number today
Aug. 2, 2016 the same as others said, claimed they're from IRS and you're being sued.

They have been calling on my direct work line just about every day. I called them back today just to see what kind of scam they were trying to run. On the second try a guy answered with a very heavy accent and told me I was being sued. He wanted to make sure I was the right guy and I said "you tell me who I am, you called me". He said I was being sued by the IRS and I told him he was full of crap. He then said I was going to be arrested right now and I said "perfect, I will stay on the phone with you until they get here". He then swore at me and hung up.
Obviously a scam and sounds like a huge call center in India

What's in it for them? Just trying to identify working US phone numbers? Or, more accurately, easy "marks" for a con operation?

I've received NUMEROUS calls from this number however when I answer they just listen & don't respond or say ANYTHING! Prior to receiving phone calls from this number i had received calls from a different number saying that it was the IRS & that i needed to return their call IMMEDIATELY in regards to my debt to the IRS. On one of the occasions i answered & responded "yeah ok, yeah right " & hung up on them. After this, I started receiving calls from the above number. They will call back to back numerous times a day.

I have been getting calls all day from this number .I answered one time claim to be IRS. I don't answer it. They keep calling back to back. I have the number blocked . Very aggravating.

Same thing they 20 times a day n treating me with the IRS when I ask them for there just serv uf # they hang up. They don't stop calling Eben blocking them they get through.

Keeps calling, when I answer they hang up. So I call them back and I cus them out and tell them straight that they are not the IRS they don't make any calls they mail you a letter and also that the IRS aren't open on the weekends. Stupid dummies!!

Continue to call my 12 year old daughter's phone saying they are the irs. Instead of asking for her parents, they question her and yell at her when she don't answer them. Called about 10 times from 3 different numbers.

They keep calling, same message, saying its my final notice and the IRS is filing charges against me, call back for details, but it's impossible to call back. I just block the number and they call from a new one, same exact recorded message. I'm about ready to change my phone number. I've gotten 10 from 5 numbers this week alone.

Just got a call saying I was going to be sued by the IRS. It's a scam because the IRS doesn't call they send out a letter.

same issue as the other .. saying their frim the IRS and Uve been sued..

I recieved a call from this number, no ringing, no answer finally got through and the lady did not know how to answer my questions. and barley spoke english
