Valid Call from Barclay's Fraud Dept

Just got a robocall from 800-400-0752 (ID said ADVANTADRCARD) and the message stated it was a fraud alert about a MasterCard. This is an office and our company does not use that card. I've been called before with fraud alerts and live people normally call you about that. When you Google this number it comes up as a scam and not listed as a valid contact number on the credit card's website. ALWAYS CALL THE NUMBER LISTED ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD.

(800) 400-0752 Barclay's fraud department - valid call

Actually it IS a number to Barclay's Fraud Dept. I get calls from them when there is potential fraud on one of my cards. It is NOT BS!

Legit, just confirming an out-of-country charge I made.

Received a call from someone identifying as "Advantage Aviation Master Card". I called back this morning trying to identify the entity, either a person or a company. Call was all automated until after entering "Case #", then got a human being with a South Asia accent identifying herself as "Jelly". (Ya', right!) The charge was $25 to a telephone company, item or service purchased was not identified, nor would "Jelly" give me her full name or the company she worked for. She asked for my info, only provided phone number since they had called me Saturday. I did not provide my name nor address. I asked for the mailing address of my "account", Jelly would not provide. Would not provide the alleged account number that is "mine", Jelly eventually hung up or the line went dead. Did not have an opportunity to tell Jelly the next person she may talk to would be a LEO.

Valid call to warn of credit card fraud

This is legitimate. I received a call from this number after an online purchase. I did not call back right after. But I do receive an email from the American Airline credit card. After log in to the barclay card online account, I also saw a message asking me to confirm a purchase that may be fraudulent.

Sounded legit, but when I checked the credit card website, no new transactions, questionable or otherwise. Sounds like someone is spoofing this phone number.

LEGITIMATE NUMBER. WANTED TO VERIFY A CREDIT CARD CHARGE OUT OF MY HOME ZIP CODE THAT I MADE. AUTOMATED CALL WHEN I CALLED BACK. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID NOT REQUEST ANY QUESTIONABLE INFORMATION.

This is indeed a legitimate number, although someone else might be spoofing it to cause problems. It was American Airline's Aviator Master Card fraud department letting me know that someone halfway across the country tried to use my card to buy gas. Since I have my card in my hand, they've managed to create a spoofed card, apparently. I'm very glad they caught it. I double-checked online and my credit card number has already been changed in the system.

My husband and I both received a call from this number and had the same automated message described above (4/16/15). I returned the call and tried to input the "case number" the recording had given me, but kept receiving error messages. Finally I contacted my credit card company and was told they had NOT called me. This sounds to me like a scam, so I question the comments left on 6/9/15.

The number is from American's Aviator Card fraud detection unit. I did not return the call, but instead went to on-line access to the credit card account. It had the same message about possible fraud and allowed me to verify the spending that had triggered to warning. I also received and e-mail from AAdvantage Aviator Mastercard about possible fraud that had the same number. This to say, the number is legitimate.

A recording saying that they were the fraud detection alert from my credit card and that if I didn't call the number that they gave me to call that my account could be placed on hold. Luckily, I didn't get to write the number down, so I called my credit card and they said that it's a scam and not to call the number that they said to call, and to never give out any info to any number that they say to call, which I would never do, but someone might.
