Shows as "Unknown" on the caller ID. BTW, the "Internal Revenue ServiceS" (sic) never calls. Block and report the number since it's also the call back they give you...

Called and said they were the IRS and had a case file and that my mother owed back taxes. I fully believe this is a scam to extract money from my elderly mother.

I have received a number of calls from this number. An automated message (non-human) tells me the IRS is filling a lawsuit against me and I need to call them back at this number. No name of the person associated with the "lawsuit" is stated in the voicemail so I have ignored this number and will block it tonight.

I received call and they left an automated message (non-human voice). I assume the IRS would be much more straightforward and official about filing a lawsuit than leaving a message like this.
