| | | I believe it comes from a link that someone clicked on whose had/have your number programmed in their phone. The hackers obtain numbers and names from other people phones and send messages to those numbers. Example my aunt, who hair I also do, have my name programmed in her phone as niece-hair. So when they sent the text from her phone to me, the message was "do this with me onmarcopolo#####/i/niece-hair/ " so immediately I knew it was a virus of some sort. Maybe came from a downloaded app or social media link on her page. |

But how did the spammer know my name yet the name is spelled wrong? |

I am not clicking the link either. Just reported the number as SPAM to my phone carrier. Still feeling uneasy from it. |
| | | This number texted my fiance and I in the middle of the night from a Nathan Kellogg with a link my phone warned me about(like Id click on it anyways) to" onmarcopolo" with my name and hers on them both saying" for you". I used to know of a guy by that name but have no ties ever with him.....and when we tried calling it back from several different numbers, it was a none working number......like ten mins after we received the text. I researched it and came up with several dead ends. I've heard that if links or even images are clicked on info can be swapped automatically to the opposing side so we went no further...but still how did they get both our numbers at the same time????? Were not listed on any documents together at all!!! If you have a similar experience please type back for piece mind I'm not being targeted...Thanks |
