| | | A man with an accent, tells me that he is receiving critical messages from my home computer. This is not the first time this is like the 7th time a man has called from this number. How do we stop these calls?

| | | Guy with foreign accent said my computer had a virus and was illegally infecting other computers, that I am required to fix it, offered to help. I said, which computer, what IP address? They said, your home computer on your home internet connection. I told him I have 7 computers and 3 internet connections, give me the OS version and IP address of the one with the problem. They hung up immediately. Total scam!! |
| | | SCAM!!!! I got a call from "Roger" with either Indian or Middle Eastern access telling me that my computer was sending illegal data to their systems. They also had a Microsoft Engineer available to help me fix my computer. I am in IT and know that my machine is free and clear. It is one of those computer hijackers that is trying social engineering to install a virus on my computer and then will ask for $$ to disinfect it. Beware of this scam and this number.
