am an IRS Employee and we get these calls all the time about people phishing for their personal information( that's all they are doing is phishing hoping that someone falls prey to their scam.The IRS does not and will not call you personally just to make you aware ( we are not babysitters, and we are not going to hold your hand to say please pay us. we know how to garnish wages/income if you get any kind of income or have any kind of assets of value. We will notify you to death via mail with correspondence about what is going to happen, but we will never ever ever ever ever call you. Hop this keeps someone from sending those crooks they hard earned money

Please people do not fall for this. The IRS does not call you personally for any information or to tell you that you owe a debt that you need to settle. I a and IRS employee and can tell you this is a scam. We will notify you to death via mail but we will never call

Got a call this morning, called back the women had a very heavy accent. I owe 6400 and need to pay it asap. total scam, pieces of crap

Left a somewhat broken message...said they had a case number and we were to call immediately. We did and the number was busy. Why doesn't the IRS go after these creeps who scam us? Until Americans get fed up enough and force Congress to work...that is show up, identify these issues and work on them for us...people who voted for them and gave THEM a job, nothing will be done and poor innocent people will be scammed out of money and scared and this is WRONG!!!

I've gotten calls exactly like this from several different numbers, its definitely a scam. The IRS sends letters or a subpoena not a intimidating phone call.

Scam, called and said I.R.S. going to sue. The dumb f......did not even use the correct area code. My son lives in Washington D.C. area code was Washington *(Seattle). Do not call!

Fake IRS call claiming there's a lawsuit against me. Don't fall for it! The IRS doesn't use robo calls to contact you.

Robo call claiming to be the IRS and advising of a lawsuit filed againt recipients of the call. Voice messages say the same thing.

I got a robo call from this number today, unable to answer it. The message left said it was the IRS trying to notify me that they were suing me. Kinda unsettling!

I got an automated call from this number saying it was the IRS and I was to call back immediately. I called back and they asked for my social security number and DOB. I refused this and then the man said he wanted to "f*** me".
