Received 2 phone calls on my cell, from an Officier Nicki Johnson @ 202-754-9182. Saying this is the Internal Revenue Services. Please contact us before we bring charges against you. I received a similiar phone call a few months ago.
And I actually did receive something about health insurance a few days later from the IRS. I never called the number
they gave me. But, Yes this is a SCAM !!

I just received a call and called back the number that they told me to and asked for Nicki Johnson. I was told by the person who answered (Steve Johnson) that she was in a meeting. I knew this was BS so I thought I'd have some fun so I asked for a Badge number which he gave me, E3214, I asked for his department and he said the Notification Dept. of the IRS, I asked where they were located and he said Washington DC. The whole time he was getting madder and madder. Finally he asked if I was ILLIGRATE (I know I spelt whatever word he was trying to say wrong) which I assume is the word he was saying but can't be sure. I asked him numerous times what that meant and he got so mad he finally hung up. I called back and Frank Johnson answered (must be a family business) I told him that Steve Johnson hung up on me and to not call me again, he said "ok have a nice day". I know that doesn't matter but I thought the rest of this call was actually kind of funny and wanted to share it.

I have received calls from this number several times claiming they are the IRS and my "agent" was Nicki Johnson. When I returned the call (knowing full and well this was NOT the IRS), the guy answering got very angry that I wouldn't give him my information and hung up on me. So, I called back, got the EXACT SAME GUY (would never happen) and was laughing so he hung up on me again after saying "you are laughing at the IRS? You think this is funny?" Why yes, yes I do.

They left 2 messages this afternoon claiming to be a Sheriff with the IRS. I work for a tax service during tax season, NO WAY will they contact and leave a recorded message.
