| | | Called me multiple time asked me about personal information and sed that I got 9,000 dollars from a grant given by the federal government. Then gave me a code and another number to call. |
| | | I was called repeatedly by this number and was called repeatedly by a number from Ontario Canada a week before. I answered the call from Ontario and a man with an accent asked for someone whose name is not mine. I told him he had the wrong number and he hung up. I assumed it was over with... little did I know I would receive over 15 more calls from this person in the span of two days. Each time I tried to block the number I would receive another call from a very similar number also claiming to be from Ontario, Canada. This week the calls claim to be coming from Washington D.C. I have ignored each call that I have received about every 30-45 minutes. Do not answer these call, they are scammers trying to hack into your finances and other personal information! |

| | | A heavy African accent man called twice first they said they were calling from US federal treasury dept asking 4 alex, l told them this number didn't belong to the person they called. l hung up as they didn't want to leave a message. But l was a little worried bcs anything related w/tax l treat carefully. Had another missed call fm the I called them back now, another man w/heavy accent answered, as the conversation went on l realized that this was a total scam he was offering government awards, l told him l wasn't interested,l told him to take me out of his calling list as l said l am traveling outside the US l don't wanna pay for roaming charges,don't wanna get any more calls. He asked me where l'm, l said not yr business. He said "l'll find you and l'll kill you"!!!???!! I hung up. They're way out of line. |

I did not answer, called twice, I researched this and see these warnings so called him back advising I know he is attempting to scam me and I as a Paralegal am ready for a call back because I have a great desire to shut the scam down.... waiting...... :) |

I knew it was a scam, so I went along with it to see how long it would take for them to say how much it would cost. When thay said $250.00 to cover taxes I told them that I didn't have that much the woman got very upset and told me that I had to borrow it or lose the grant! I hope that someone elderly does not get scammed by these people. |

| | | A man called from 202-697-8857 (DC) Bruce Warner and ask to get 250 in I tune cards. Then a call came from 347-620-3644 (NY) Told me that I was receiving money from the Federal Government which was a federal grant for $9200. and that when I buy the I tune cards I will recv that money back. Then when the other call came through they ask for $750 to release the money and if I do the $750. which was for taxes in my state they would give me 10000. either through bank deposit or moneygram / western union. |

| | | A person with chinese accent who spoke horrible english called and asked for (my name). I was told by this person that I had been selected to receive a federal grant. This person also claimed to be calling from the federal government, the caller id was "Washington DC." I was told to receive the grant by check that I would have to go purchase an itunes gift card for $250. I was told that the money was coming from the federal reserve bank and this was they only way to "register" my name. I knew right away that this was an attempt to scam me so I said to them to not call again or I would call the police. They call multiple times per day. Other numbers include: (202) 919-7502 and (202) 798-3209. |
