Being on the west coast it is SO ANNOYING when the phone rings at 6:30 am. Husband called back immediately, it is obviously a call center in India or Pakistan from accent. Routed through Wash DC number... why are they still allowed to do this? When I got home I had 5 voicemails, so 6 calls so far today by 3pm. IRS lawsuit scam

Just got a call, same experience as commenter above. Said it was IRS. Had an accent I couldn't place. Had my name, but I asked for more identifying information. The man on the end got annoyed when I asked for a SSN, or some identifying info.
Then he got more hostile and said "Why are you calling me, a****?" I laughed at him. He paused then said "f*** you" and hung up.

I just got a call from this number. I did not pick-up because I didn't recognize the caller. Then I noticed a voicemail, it was from that call. It was an automated voicemail saying that IRS was going to file a law suite against me. They asked me to call the number back, which I will not do.
