I figured it was a hoax, but so glad to hear from the other posters! Got the call this AM....blocked now.

Ditto to the above. Gave his name and badge number. Told me I had to appear in Federal Court in DC within 48 hours, if I didn't pay. He had a heavy Indian accent.
Told him I'd get my CPA to call him-that shut him up!

BS phone call. I asked if they were really from the IRS and was,told yes. I told thend I always wanted to tell the IRS to kiss my A**.

Wife keeps getting calls, so I called them back on her number. First time I got a "f*** off" after acting like an unemployed hick, second time I tried to return some Bollywood movies, third time I tried to order 3 chicken curries and a pea couscous, he took the order up until I asked for tea. These "IRS" agents are a real hoot

Same IRS scam -- multiple calls and messages

Two calls today and a few in the past. Sue above says she's blocking the number. How do I do that? Advise not engaging these people in conversation.

Hate this! They call me at least 5x a week. I block them, but it still slips through. Not sure why. I have cussed at them, yelled at them. When I finally called tgem, I asked who they were. I told them they were not the IRS, that they don't call like that. They wanted to know how I could think something like that. Tell me, bud, want time you call the real IRS, you are going to be waiting FOREVER before you talk to a live person.

same msg second call from a different number several weeks ago. simple scam that might catch the nervous, uninformed or vulnerable. shameful. work for a living instead of trying to grab money from people. no different than door-to-door home repair scams or purse snatching.

Got a phone call from this number. I did not answer, but I will block this number from now.

Same as others, irs lawsuit threat. Answered the call, it just played auto gerenated message and asked to callback. The call was at 7 am on saturday morning.

Three calls this am from same number with IRS threats. IRS does not call people to share any tax information.

This number is a scam. There is a computer generated voice saying that its the last notice as the IRS is trying to sue. Ignored and reported call and number to state dept. of consumer affairs.
