He said he was from the US Dept of Grants. He gave an English name but had an Indian accent. When I started to chuckle, he asked why I was laughing. I said he needed to get a real and honest job because (1) his name didn't match up with his accent and (2) I already knew there was no such thing as the US Department of Grants. He hung up on me! (Imagine that.) So I called 202-431-4755 back and was told it was not a working number. (I am so shocked - NOT.) Of course, I have reported the call to the National Do Not Call Registry AND kept a screen print of the information I entered into their database.

202-431-4755 said he was from Department of Grants gave me code number to to give to bank officer at this phone number 202-630-2460 for a grant of $ 9000. dollars not to be paid back I did not call though ,have had calls from same number before and told them not to call again but keeps calling asked my name but didn't say my actual last name

Man with Indian Accent, Claiming I had been approved for a grant up to 9000 but had to use the money for home improvement, paying off debt or another "noble" cause. I was selected due to my clean record of no bankruptcy, paying taxes on time, and other... Said he was with the US Grants department. Gave me a 5 digit confirmation code and said to call the other number right away. definitely a Phishing scam, don't give them any information.

The above number called me and asked for me. I responded with what can I do for you, he suddenly hang up the phone. So I called back the number and it was disconnected.

I've just recieved a call from this number ( 202-431-4755 ) caller saying I have been approved for a 9000,oo grant ( not to be paid back ) , took my full name and email address, gave me a number to call back ( 202-630-2460 ) to speak with the person issuing the grant, I have not followed up as of yet, I'm trying to first find out if this is part of some scam.

5 class in the past hour. I haven't anwsered

5 phone calls from this number within 4 hours. Call back phone number has been disconnected. I answer they hang up immediately.

Just today i recieved multiple calls from this number. I would answer and it would hang up but the last time they called i picked up and it was a mans voice. He told me he was from the Federal Governement and that i have been giving an opportunity to recieve a grant of 10,000. He told me that i was selected because i had a clean record. I asked him a bunch of questions and he told me that there are three ways to recieve the money. One was through bank account the second was walmart, and western union. Also, he told me that before i walk into walmart to call (202) 643-2241 to speak to a financial advisor because he was going to guide me through the steps to recieve the money. All the stuff they were saying were giving me red flags. ITS A SCAM!!!!!! He said i never had to pay anything back and still asked me what i wanted to do with the money. i asked for a website and the website he gave me was www.USgovernmentgrants.gov.

Today I've received three calls from this number claiming being a federal agent from the Department of Grants. That he was calling from the Federal Government. I said I didn't want a grant. I asked where is the paper work and that I would be notified by mail. Not interested and said goodbye. Second call he started his spill and I said no please stop calling I'm not interested. Then he said "F_ck you, F_ck" use my name then he said "your going to jail". I hung up.

I have received numerous calls from this phone number. At least 3-4/day for about a week. Since they are all anonymous or private, i don't answer. I suspect some sort of scam. Yesterday and today, two of the calls have said "Joyce Robinson" as the caller. Still have not answered. I'm on the do not call list, but since I have been receiving 5-10 calls/day from who knows who, I have a feeling they are either ignoring that, or I need to reapply.

Few days ago I received a phone cal from this number claiming being a federal agent from the Department of grants. He kept stating he was calling from the Federal Government and he sounded like he was fishing for my personal information since I asked him to send me whereever paperwork to my address. The guy had a foreign accent probably from India. When I asked what he meant by the department of grants; he acted very defensive stating that I should know unless If I didn't go to high school. I told him that was BS, and I hanged up on him. He called me right back and he asked me Did you just hanged up on me? I'm from the federal government then I told him whoever you are you should have my mailing address to forward any paperwork....then I hanged up again. He keeps calling me on my phone but I don't answer.
